This page exists to show anyone interested how I was RIPPED OFF at 70 years of age, so that perhaps some public awareness will shame Pascale Schlegel into doing the right thing and expose the GREEDY nature that defines her.
Here's the very short story -
Pascale and I were once a couple for 16+ years. We met in 2006 in San Diego. She moved into my house that I alone owned.
Pascale had a job with H&M (the retailer) in San Francisco. That job paid her $12.00 per hour. I thought she was adventurous, outgoing and fun to be with. I owned and operated a manufacturing business and I had a good web business for a decade prior to meeting Pascale. Pascale had 4 boxes of belongings and a older convertible to her name. I moved her into my house, because I loved her. A year or so later, I sold my San Diego home just before the 2008 market crash, and we moved with our dog Bucky to Florida. Bucky was awesome and lived to be 18 years old he died in my arms two years ago and I still miss him dearly.
In 2015, we purchased the house you see below for $550,000. I alone made ALL the mortgage payments from 2015 until April 2022. I suspected Pascale was greedy, early on, because I caught her hoarding cash. She'd take whatever money she saw laying around and hide it. The relationship deteriorated when I realized she really didn't care about me at all, but she only loved the lifestyle that I afforded to her. Pascale was diagnosed as bipolar, which explained After we sold a separate commercial property, I gave Pascale exactly half the proceeds from that sale because we agreed to split everything 50/50 when we bought both properties. Even though Pascale NEVER made a single mortgage payment on that property, or ever paid the taxes and insurance. I paid for everything 100% with zero exceptions. Why would I do that? Because I wanted to leave her hate & greed behind and move to the Reno/Tahoe area. My business was suffering from a lack of qualified employees and I knew the answer was to move away. I agreed to give Pascale half the proceeds from our commercial property sale, because that would enable her to refinance the house that we shared after I left. I did not want to be the reason Pascale had to leave the Florida Keys. All our friends knew this. Otherwise, Pascale could not afford to stay in that house as the payments were over $4500 per month and Pascale's snorkel tours business that I started for her did not pay enough for her to stay in the Florida Keys. Now Pascale is selling the house - here's the listing - for $1,650,000 and she wants to screw me out of 7+ years of house payments that I alone made.
We purchased two properties in the Florida Keys. One was a commercial-type property for my office to operate from.The other property was this house at 139 Gardenia Street in Tavernier, Florida. The house was on a canal and the outside was a complete bland eyesore. The inside was nice and had a 5 year-old kitchen and a boat dock. There wasn't much else. This is a 3-bedroom, 2 bath house.
I personally built the front fence and electric gate to keep Bucky out of the street. I did landscaping, plumbing, electrical repairs and more. Then in 2019, the house had a water leak behind the walls. Both upstairs and downstairs kitchens had to be remodeled completely as water damaged all the kitchen cabinets. Pascale went to Switzerland on vacation and left me to handle the entire remodel upstairs and downstairs by myself. It was a massive project that required me to rent an apt from a neighbor for almost 3 months. Lifting concrete, I blew out my belly button (umbilical hernia) and I later had to have surgery to repair it.
Once Pascale returned we both decided that I would stay in the downstairs apartment until I moved away since the relationship was clearly over. I wanted to sell the house and split-up, but Pascale wanted the house and begged me to help her keep it with a refinance. Again, I added her to my "payroll" at work so she could use MY income to qualify for a refinance. We were able to refinance the house and Pascale agreed that when she sold the house at a later date, she would give me MY half of the proceeds for the SEVEN YEARS of mortgage payments that I alone made. Now Pascale has listed our house at $1,650,000. She OWES about $300k after she pays a realtor $100k she wants to pocket $1,250,000 and leave me UNPAID for SEVEN+ YEARS of MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, TAXES and INSURANCE? I am asking her to repay me not the $400,000 I put into the house but just $300,000 so I can avoid being homeless. Pascale would rather take a veteran's life savings for herself, than to do the right thing. I never should have trusted Pascale.

This kind of GREED happens because some people cannot overcome a sense of poverty. Pascale was born into a poor family with no father around. Her mother had 4 kids by 3 different fathers. Pascale was raised her badly and her mother failed to teach Pascale basic respect for others. That's what poverty does. I mistakenly thought giving and giving to Pascale would make her love me. It did not. Not once, in the 16 years we were together, did Pascale EVER tell me she cared for me. Now she wants to screw me over permanently.
